    18 January 2012

The staff of AMB and the Diocese of Polynesia are shocked at the sudden loss of such a valued friend and colleague. Andrew, who was an engineer, had been leading short-term mission-aid projects in Fiji for several years with the encouragement of his vicar, Archdeacon Julie Rokotakala, of the Tawa Anglican Church. He had been accompanied on this trip by his wife Charmaine, who was leading handcraft workshops with Fijian women's groups. link»

This article was first printed in The Anglican Magazine from the Auckland Diocese. more»

  • From Northland, Wellington - July 2011

    1 November 2011

One youth's dream to experience mission, coupled with a responsive youth group leader with people-resources grew into a youth group trip to Tonga. "When we wondered if we were, in fact, 'doing mission', we remembered the Archbishop of Polynesia's advise to 'just go, see, hear and be with the people'. At times, this put us outside our personal comfort zones. Fortunately we belong to a God who never leaves nor forsakes us, nor lets His little ones be put to shame. We hope the Tongans saw God in us, just as we saw Him shining through them. May the fruit of our journey continue to grow in both communities." more»
