The Common Life Missions Conference began with a powhiri welcoming the guests and delegates to the Conference and there followed three and a half days of opportunities to share, network, listen and speak about all aspects of mission - the theme being 'Mission Together'. Approximately 400 people, including Church leaders from around the World gathered at Kings College in Auckland from 6-9th October.
There were a variety of workshops and forums as well as addresses from the keynote speaker, Dr Chris Wright from the UK, the Bible Studies leader, Dr Dickson Chilongani, Bishop of Central Tanganiyika and guest speakers Dr Rosemary Dewerse of St John's Theological College in Auckland and Sir Anand Satyanand, former Governor General.
We have received good feedback from all who attended.
If you were unable to attend the Conference and would like to hear the presentations of the speakers and workshop leaders, dvd's have been produced and are available from the Anglican Missions office.
A full set is in two parts - Part A includes the keynote addresses, the Bible Studies and two guest speakers; and Part B is 12 workshops and a music soundtrack disc.
