Message of condolence received from the Anglican Church of Tanzania:

Greetings from the Anglican Church in Tanzania

We were deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place in Christchurch on Friday 15 March 2019.

As a church which is located where Christians and Muslims live together in neighbourhood, the callous attacks on two mosques in Christchurch, which claimed the lives of 51 people and left dozens more injured, have left many of us with a deep sense of sadness, shock and confusion as we all seek to make sense of this heartless act.

We want to express my sincere and heartfelt sympathies to those directly affected by this tragedy and to all people of Islamic faith who have been the subject of this vicious attack.

We encourage you or anyone you know who needs our support in prayers to communicate with us. We have a team of prayer warriors who will be very honoured to share in this ministry with you.

Please pass our sincere regards to the Province and in particular the diocese of Christchurch.

Our Primate and Archbishop sends his condolences.

Regards

Dr Mecka Ogunde, General Secretary-ACT”
