You may remember that last year we supported Thy Kingdom Come – a global prayer movement initiated by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York. The Anglican communion lead for this movement, the Very Revd Robert Key, has written to us from Lambeth Palace, London to ask you all to support the wave of prayer planned for this year. It is also promoted in the Anglican Missions prayer diary ‘Partners in Prayer’ for 2019 (pages 62-62). Beginning on Ascension Day, May 30th and running until Pentecost on June 9th. Go to www.thykingdom.global for more information and see also here the link to "Light up Aotearoa, New Zealand"
Rev Bob visited us last year and you can hear directly from him here
This year he has written to encourage us to:
Engage by visiting the TKC website www.thykingdomcome.global and register to pray.
Share by encouraging others to do the same and to incorporate TKC into your parish’s Ascension and Pentecost ministries. There are lots of ideas on how to do this on the TKC website .
Act There is a link here to "Light up Aotearoa, New Zealand" – add your light to the map. Rev Bob says: “It would be a fantastic encouragement to all of us involved in TKC on behalf of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York if the web map showed your wonderful country lit up with prayer for more people to come to know the Lord Jesus.”
