THANK YOU for your support - Lenten Appeal

24 September 2018

THANK YOU to all who gave so generously to our Lenten Appeal earlier this year.
The following amounts have been paid for the projects that were supported:
$9,204.67 to Savior Evangelical School, in Zarka, northeast Jordan, which educates over 300 children from many of the poor and marginalized communities of Zarka-Amman.  This funding will go towards purchasing six smart boards for their classrooms.
$10,544.84 to the Rwenzori Special Needs Foundation [RSNF], a local non-government organisation, which has been serving children with disabilities in the Fort Portal region of Uganda. The funds will go towards a new van to transport children and families to hospital as needed.
$11,465.20 to the Arab Episcopal School is situated in Irbid, a city in the north of Jordan, where it specialises in educating blind and visually-impaired children who don’t have any local options for education.Funds will assist in purchasing special cameras so visually-impaired students can easily learn to read.

We have received grateful thanks from our partners:

  •  see here the letter from the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem with thanks not only for funding for the Lenten Appeal projects but also the funds raised as a result of our Emergency appeal for the Al Alhi Hospital in Gaza.
