THANK YOU to all who gave so generously to our Lenten Appeal earlier this year.
The following amounts have been paid for the projects that were supported:
$9,204.67 to Savior Evangelical School, in Zarka, northeast Jordan, which educates over 300 children from many of the poor and marginalized communities of Zarka-Amman. This funding will go towards purchasing six smart boards for their classrooms.
$10,544.84 to the Rwenzori Special Needs Foundation [RSNF], a local non-government organisation, which has been serving children with disabilities in the Fort Portal region of Uganda. The funds will go towards a new van to transport children and families to hospital as needed.
$11,465.20 to the Arab Episcopal School is situated in Irbid, a city in the north of Jordan, where it specialises in educating blind and visually-impaired children who don’t have any local options for education.Funds will assist in purchasing special cameras so visually-impaired students can easily learn to read.
We have received grateful thanks from our partners:
- see here the letter from the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem with thanks not only for funding for the Lenten Appeal projects but also the funds raised as a result of our Emergency appeal for the Al Alhi Hospital in Gaza.
